overdrive — Windows x64 test build (After Effects 2025+)

INSTALL (recommended)
1. Close After Effects.
2. Run overdrive-setup-<version>.exe and follow the wizard.
(Windows may show a SmartScreen warning — "unknown publisher" —
because this beta build is not code-signed yet: More info > Run
   anyway.)
3. Start After Effects. Window menu > "overdrive".

INSTALL (manual, if you prefer)
1. Close After Effects.
2. Copy overdrive.aex to:
   C:\Program Files\Adobe\Common\Plug-ins\7.0\MediaCore\
(administrator rights required — create the folder if missing)
3. Start After Effects. Window menu > "overdrive".

LICENSE
The panel asks for your email and license key on first run
(OVRD-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX). An internet connection is required
for the first activation.

LOGS — this is a VALIDATION build, logging is enabled on purpose
%LOCALAPPDATA%\overdrive\overdrive.log
If anything misbehaves (panel missing, blank view, crash), please send
this file back with a short description of what you did.

UNINSTALL
Installed with the setup .exe: Windows Settings > Apps > overdrive >
Uninstall (it reminds you to deactivate your license seat first, and
asks before touching your settings/cached frames).
Installed manually: delete overdrive.aex from the MediaCore folder
above, restart AE.

KNOWN LIMITS OF THIS BUILD
- First ever run of the Windows UI on real hardware: expect rough
  edges (layout, fonts, resize).
- The out-of-process render pool is disabled on Windows for now:
preview speed relies on the in-process pipeline only.
- The binary is not Authenticode-signed: Windows SmartScreen may warn
when unzipping — this is expected for a test build.
